Data Availability Statement

The ASEAN Journal of Military and Preventive Medicine supports transparency, reproducibility, and integrity in scientific research through responsible data sharing practices.

Journal Policy

Authors are encouraged to make the research data supporting the findings of their study publicly available whenever ethically, legally, and practically possible.

Research data may include raw data, processed datasets, statistical codes, protocols, software, questionnaires, images, or other materials necessary to validate the results presented in the manuscript.

Authors should include a Data Availability Statement within their manuscript indicating where and how the supporting data can be accessed.

Recommended Data Repositories

Authors are encouraged to deposit datasets in recognized public repositories appropriate to their discipline, including but not limited to:

  • Figshare
  • Zenodo
  • Dryad
  • Harvard Dataverse
  • Open Science Framework (OSF)
  • Institutional repositories

Where applicable, datasets should include persistent identifiers such as DOI links.

Restrictions and Ethical Considerations

Data sharing may be restricted in cases involving:

  • Patient privacy and confidentiality
  • National security or military-sensitive information
  • Legal or ethical limitations
  • Third-party ownership of data

In such situations, authors should clearly explain the reasons for data restrictions in their Data Availability Statement.
